How It Works

01. Browse

I am sure you have been planning your wedding your entire life, so this is the easy part! Once you have finalized your wedding details, like colours, style, venue, etc., it’s time to set the tone with your wedding stationery! Head on over to the Gallery or Pinterest to find a style that suits your day perfectly! Everything I do is custom, so the possibilities are endless.

02. Consultation

Since all of my designs are custom, it can be challenging to narrow down a design. If you would rather meet in person, we can decide on all of the finer details, like paper, envelopes, embellishments, quantities and budget together. A price quote will then be sent via email within 3 days. My business is my home, so my address will be sent to you via email.

03. Design

This is where the fun begins! Once you are happy with your price quote, I will require a deposit (the amount will depend on the total cost; $100+). You will then send me your wording and I will send you a digital proof within 2 weeks*. We'll work together making any adjustments to perfect your stationery until you are completely satisfied.

04. Order

When you're happy with your proof, you'll give your final approval via email. Adjustments can not be made at this point, so it is extremely important that you thoroughly check your final proof (quantities, dates, times, spelling, etc.). You can expect your order to be completed within 4 - 6 weeks, but can be faster or slower depending on the complexity of your order.

05. Assembly

This is my favourite part! and I have years of experience! (with far too many hours spent watching Netflix) I take pride in every invitation that leaves my hands, and am equipped with all the tools to make each invitation perfect! I will even print on your envelopes, so make sure you have your guest list finalized in an excel/numbers sheet ready to go.

06. Pick-up

Invitations by Amanda is located in Welland, Ontario. It is up to you to arrange pick up of the invitations from Welland. If you are unable to pick up your invitations, additional shipping charges will be charged to your final invoice. Final payment is due before the printing process has begun. Method of payment acceptable is e-transfer.

Printing Methods

Digital

Digital printing is the most budget friendly option offered. Digital has the ability to print almost any design in full, vibrant colours where the ink lays flat on the paper.

Foil Pressed

Foiling adds a new level of luxury and shine to your printed stationery. Foil is stamped into the paper using heat and pressure, leaving a slight impression and a metallic, shiny finish.

White Ink

White ink is perfect for providing stunning contrast on coloured stocks and pairs beautifully with a large range of premium cardstocks, envelopes and acrylic.

Vellum

Vellum is a semi-transparent paper that will give your invitations a beautiful light and airy look. You can print directly onto the vellum, use it as an overlay or a belly band.

Acrylic

If you are looking for a clear choice, literally, then Acrylic is the choice for you! Printed using UV or screen printing technology on clear acrylic. Sizes available are 5x7 or 6x6.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I order wedding invitations?

Invitations typically take 8 weeks from the start of the design, so it is always best to give yourself a little bit of extra time, especially during the busy season (January - June). I recommend ordering 4-5 months prior to when you would like to send them to your guests. This gives me enough wiggle room to design, make changes, print and assemble! Click Here to get a quote!

Should I send a Save the Date?

Absolutely you should! With the increase in wedding happening due to covid cancellations, as well as people starting to plan vacations. It is a good idea to let your guests know ahead of time that they have a wedding to attend! These should be sent a year in advance.

What other stationery do you do?

Everything you need for your wedding day; seating chart, menus, program, place cards, table numbers, welcome sign, table signs, order of events, etc. As well as save the dates, bridal shower, baby shower, baptism, holiday cards and birthday invitations!

Do I have to pre-stamp RSVPs?

It is optional, but it is a nice gesture to pre-stamp and pre-address your rsvp postcard/envelope.

Do you address save the date envelopes with “& guest”?

It’s a great idea! This gives guests advance notice that they can bring a date.

How many invitations should I order?

One invitation per household, plus 5-10 extra invitations; 1-2 for keepsakes, 1-2 for photographer, and at least 5 in case you expand your guest list or if one gets lost in the mail.

What if my reply card comes back blank?

Put a little number on the back of your reply cards that corresponds to your own numbered gust list. This way you will know who did not fill out their name!

What envelope colours do you have?

Not pictured: White Shimmer, Ivory Shimmer & Burgundy Shimmer.
